Luke Lockhart 24.2.10

I think without Wayne, Reedy and Scott, against a good team like Hollands & Blair we always knew that we were going to be short in attack, which left Royston on his own up front. We were asked to get the ball through the channels but the pitch was terrible. I know it was the same for both sides and it might have worked in our favour if we were trying to play the long ball to Royston, but Hollands and Blair played some good football on it.

I don't think that we could have outplayed them or out-fought them with the team we had there. Dave never seems to get the chance to play what I think is the real First team. The football we've been playing recently revolves around Reedy, but at the moment we haven't got anyone to hold the ball up and knock it back. I'd give a go if Dave asked!

I thought the lads at the back did well but we still got caught out by the winning goal.

From now on we've got to get all the points we can, which might mean one or two people have got to grow up a bit and stop complaining if things go wrong or if they're asked to play out of position because of the injuries. Everyone has to take responsibility for the whole team. If one person doesn't do his job then someone else has to cover for the weak link. Hollands and Blair exposed us enough times to find our weak links.
