Reserves (March 12, 2008)

Canterbury City Reserves 3 Woodnesborough 3

The Development Squad players, as a group, did not do themselves justice in front of First team manager Dave Fairclough who went to Bridge because the senior team's match at Pembury was called off. Woodnesborough were not one of the better teams the Reserves had faced.

A few individuals did take the opportunity to impress Dave but the overall performance was disappointing. Goals from Adam Woollcott (2) and Karl Williams brought about the draw but on other days the Reserves would have run out winners by several more.  Their play was less well organised than they would have liked and there is a need to pull together in the run-up towards the end of the seaon.

Jason Anthony, who impressed with his pace and attacking flair, Adam Woollcott, from City's Under-16s, Sam Brown ahd Gary Dood stood out individually and helped push their claims for places in the First team, so it wasn't an entirely wasted afternoon for Dave.

City: Gower; C. Woollcott, Dodd, Gurr (Brockman), Vidler (P. Johnson), MacVicar, Brown, Tuite, Anthony, A. Woollcott, K. Williams.
