Big test for City Ladies (March 13, 2008) City's Ladies face their biggest test on Sunday when they meet Millwall Lionesses in the Kent Cup semi-final at Canterbury High School (2.00pm). The Millwall side are not only the holders but they play five divisions above City, who are nevertheless confident after being unbeaten in their own division throughout their first season.
Manager Lorna Shilling said people would consider it a big surprise if they won on Sunday "but not to me". She points out that City beat Gillingham recently and have signed several new players over the past few weeks, greatly increasing the strength of the squad overall.
