Girls' teams do the club proud (April 21, 2008)

Last weekend the Under-13s girls did the club proud by making it four wins in a row and finishing fifth in their first season together.

There was a fantastic performance against Deal Town Rangers Colts by Teri Davis in midfield and a great all round effort by the rest of the team not concede. Two goals from Chloe Cooper and one from Zara Newman rounded off a great season.

Today the Under-15's took on the team in third place in the league and came away with a 4-2 win, despite missing a penalty. It was a good all round performance, with the back four looking really solid. Emma Fagg scored two and made some superb runs down the left flank, wreaking havoc with Range Rovers defence.

Eve Chappell did the same down the right and has made fantastic progress in her adopted role on the right of midfield. The Under-15s now sit fourth in the league, which is a great testament to the girls' hard work throughout the season and is well deserved. Overall the two teams have been fantastic ambassadors for both Canterbury City and girls' football.
