Lord Mayor congratulates City (April 28, 2008) Over forty players, managers, coaches and officials of the club were present tonight at a reception held at the Tower House in Canterbury by the Lord Mayor, Cllr. Cyril Windsor, and Lady Mayoress, Leslie Windsor.
In his welcome, the Lord Mayor congratulated all of the teams and the club for becoming re-established in the city. He said that the teams had done more than could have been expected and that the successes in the first season also went down to a lot of hard work done in the setting up of the club. He looked forward to seeing it continue to prosper.
City's Chairman, Phil Knight, expressed his appreciation to the Lord Mayor for hosting the reception and his thanks to the several councillors who also attended. Click here to return to the News page
