Cup final form (April 29, 2008) With City and Holmesdale Reserves playing in different leagues, there is little hard evidence to support a form guide for Saturday’s Kent Junior Cup final at the Corinthian FC Ground. However, there are a couple of pointers.
Holmesdale Reserves are currently seventh in the second division of the Kent League. Their most recent league game was last Saturday against Herne Bay who beat them 1-0. Earlier this year, Dave Fairclough took an experimental City team to Winch’s Field for a Friendly and comfortably overcame a Herne Bay side that was made up of some Reserves and several First team players.
This season Holmesdale’s only game against a side from the same Kent County League division as City was in an earlier round of the Kent Junior Cup when they came up against APM Mears and won 2-0.
Paths to the final:-
Holmesdale beat Wilmington, Tudor Sports Reserves, Eltham Palace and APM Mears.
