City's team survived the gruelling course and inclement weather to register impressive finishing times in Sunday's Canterbury Half Marathon sponsored by Bretts and run on behalf of the Pilgrims Hospice. Sadly, Dave Fairclough's niggling knee injury failed to clear up overnight but Phil Rowley, Adam Kent, Colin King, Alex Wear and Phil Knight successfully completed the 13+ mile course that included muscle sagging hills in Petham and Waltham. The runners raised over £500 for the Hospice which according to Adam made it all worth while 'The hills seemed to go on forever but to get around in one piece and raise much needed funds for the Hospice has made it a memorable experience'
