Charity link for Friends of CCFC
- 20/09/2009
The newly formed Friends of Canterbury City Football Club has identified Kent Kids Miles of Smiles as its chosen charity.
The hope is that City fans will not only support the club but also Miles of Smiles in fund raising events. The charity was formed in 1993 to help sick and disabled children in the county. It now runs Footprints, a care home in Stodmarsh Road, Canterbury for young people between three and 17-years-old. It has also opened a neighbouring property, Redwalls, which caters for people with similar needs but who are over eighteen.
More information about Kent Kids Miles of Smiles can be obtained through www.miles-of-smiles.org.uk
This week Friends of Canterbury City FC will also be launching a weekly Superdraw through local newsagents. There is a chance to win 1,000 pounds each week, plus numerous cash prizes, for only one pound, paid with the newspaper bill. Membership forms will be in your local paper.
