CCFC/Simon Langton
- 22/07/2010
Many of you will read the article in this week's KM Gazette concerning the discussions taking place between the Simon Langton school and the Council about the location of the Football Hub. It may appear from the article that certain parameters may have been set concerning certain issues.
I can confirm that I had a meeting myself with the council yesterday (21st July) and was assured that negotiations and discussions were still ongoing and no final decisions had been made about any aspects of the proposals. I have reiterated to the council the need for the Football Club to have sensible income streams to fund its activities including progression up the football pyramid and believe that the council understand and accept the clubs position in this regard.
I will be having further discussions with the council and at the appropriate time, which will hopefully be soon, I will be able to publish details of outline proposals for consideration by the club as a whole.
